About Ready Steady School Classes
From the moment you arrive, you and your child will be warmly welcomed into a fun and friendly circle time. We’ll start each session with a focus on a particular letter or number, introducing this in engaging ways and sparking curiosity right from the start.
Next, you’ll explore a variety of exciting activity stations together – each carefully designed to build on the day’s learning and previous Ready Steady School adventures. These hands-on activities bring concepts to life, helping your child grow in confidence whilst reinforcing important skills.
We’ll finish each session with songs, stories and, of course, a sticker to celebrate your child’s achievements! At Ready Steady School, learning feels like play – but every moment is helping your child get ready to shine!

I’m Emma Kennedy, the founder and director, and I’m so pleased you’ve found us.
Having recently relocated to the beautiful surroundings of Northern Ireland, I’m now raising my little girl Evie, and bringing my passion for early years education to our new community. I’m a qualified Primary Teacher with a First Class Honours degree and over 10 years permanent teaching experience – 7 of those in P1 classrooms. I’m also a qualified Child Development Officer and have organised large-scale nursery transition events in partnership with over 20 nurseries.
Early years education is not just my profession – it’s my passion. I’m dedicated to helping children feel confident, secure, and ready to thrive as they take their first steps into school life.
